Functions and Catering
Your place our ours. Based at the old Maitland Gaol, we specialise in personal, select, hand-picked off-site catering jobs where our food can shine. Our dishes are prepared from scratch for each and every event. Our jobs take us to local venues, Sydney, the Gold Coast, out west to Denman and Sandy Hollow, and as far afield as the Gulf of Carpentaria (Nhulunbuy). We have been on location caterers for “Cat Empire” and “Eskimo Joe” during the filming of music video clips in our region, and have also hosted the cast & crew of ‘Surfing the Menu’ and ‘Mercurio’s Menu.’
Carolyn Scott is a qualified chef with further study in pastry, bread, sugar, chocolate and desserts. Carolyn has spent 42 years in hospitality, working across all areas including front of house, marketing, silver service, gueridon service (where food is cooked, finished or presented to the guest at a table, from a moveable trolley – typically used for Crepes Suzette, Caesar Salad, Cherries Jubilee, Banana Flambé and Steak Tartarand) and sommelier (trained and knowledgeable wine professional).
Carolyn founded Slow Food Hunter Valley (then known as Slow Food Hunter) and has judged the Fine Food and Dairy Section of the Sydney Royal Agricultural Easter Show for the last 14 years. She is a passionate foodie, bringing love, flair, technical expertise, quality, and creativity to all her catering events.
