Blackbird Artisan Bakery is one of Maitland’s most famous and iconic bakeries. Located in the Old Maitland Gaol, Blackbird Artisan Bakery and cafe fuses the quality of age-old traditional cooking methods with modern techniques.
The bakery produces some of the finest authentic artisan sourdough breads, French style pastries, cakes, muffins, tarts, quiches, lasagnes, preserves, terrines and cheeses. With exception of a few cheeses/ prosciutto/ jamon, all products are produced in store.
Owner, Carolyn Scott, is a master of culinary magic. Under her guidance the cafe serves up mouth-watering meals made from the freshest and finest ingredients. Carolyn’s love of food is evident in every bite.
